Voyage Data Recorder is an integral part pf safety of line at sea. IAW IMO Resolution MSC 163(78) is to maintain a store, in as secure and retrievable form of information concerning the position, movement, physical status, command and control of vessel. It aims to aid in re-establishment of the voyage details during an incident investigation.
