Air Born Mine Detection System (AMDS) for Indian Naval Helicopter

Development of Airborne Mine Detection System for lN helicopters viz MH 60R, SK 428/C, DB MRH, Future Spl Ops Helicopter. Mines are inexpensive and easy deployable means that could effectively disrupt maritime operations, thereby, preventing Naval forces from achieving their defined objectives. It could also inflict heavy damage and may lead to blocking of harbours if thorough Mine Counter Measures (MCM) are not resorted. Towards enhancing MCM capability wold be utilised for various maritime operations viz establishment of swept channel, littoral warfare and integral operations of expeditionary and amphibious task force. This capability is envisaged to be organic to the ship.
