Fri-end or Foe Identification System

In today’s fast fluid and swift battlefield where Jointmanship and integrated operations are the call of the day, one of the major challenges being faced is in identification of own forces in the battlefield. This is more so relevant in the mechanised warfare where due to the high mobility and vast spread a clear forward line of troops (FLOT) might not be available to our Air force at all times. It is for this that a rugged system is required to Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) to ensure close support by Attack Helicopters and Air which is a must in a mechanised battlefield.
