Non availability of Indigenised Compressor for Marine ACs.
The ICG ships are installed with Air Conditioning compressor of foreign origin generally of Make: Bitzer. The compressors are the most important part of the system for functioning of AC plant. The compressors are generally of capacity 60-80 tons as per cooling requirement of ships air conditioning space. The AC compressors in this capacity are not manufactured in India and needs to be Indigenised.
