Sonar Performance Modelling Software
Development of an indigenous, modular and scalable, performance modelling software solution, capable of predicting the operational effectiveness of active and passive sonar systems under variable oceanographic conditions. The performance of sonars deployed on naval platforms depends on complex and dynamic under water environments such as sound speed profile, bathymetry, sea bed properties and ambient noise. Accurate prediction of sonar performance under such conditions is essential for system design evaluation, mission planning and operational decision support.
