To automatically select, position, and load the required 125 mm ammunition into the gun breech, thereby ensuring a consistent rate of fire, reducing crew workload, and enabling a compact turret configuration. Reliable functioning of the autoloader is essential for maintaining the firepower, operational availability, and combat effectiveness of the tank.
